Make sure you record Lost longer than usual this week

The President is speaking right before Lost on Wednesday.

It could go long, so make sure you tack on extra time at the end just in case.

Thanks for the heads up from Watch With Kristin at E!Online. If you forget, the show will be on ABC's website the next morning.

Check out the producers' podcasts

If you’re not listening to producers Damon and Carlton’s podcasts at abc.com, you should be.

They are quite the comedy duo. And sometimes they actually answer a fan question.

Here’s what they said this week in the episode recorded Monday and posted Thursday. Beware minor spoilers.

This week’s episode title was in fact referring to the book, “The Little Prince.”

Rose and Bernard survived the flaming arrow attack. As did Vincent (who is the one character that the producers say will surely live until the series’ end).

Resurrection (remember the vanagram?) is an ongoing theme this season. The hieroglyphs in the donkey wheel cave cannot be literally translated, but they reflect the notion of resurrection.

(thanks to Lost fan Beth for this post)

Let Sawyer nickname you

So, are you a Freckles? A Mamacita? Mr. Clean? Or Lardo?

Those are actually taken by Kate, Claire, Locke and Hurley, repectively.

Can't remember what Sawyer has called everyone over the last four seasons? Here's a list.
Use the comments section to tell everyone what nickname Sawyer gives you.

Lost: the book club

Want to make sense of all those passing references to the literary world?

ABC has composed a reading list for Lost fans.

The Lost creaters even wrote a note welcoming you to the Lost book club. They don't promise the books will provide insight but they do promise enrichment for reading them. Sounds like high school English. Although there are some interesting books on the list.

They recommend A Tale of Two Cities, On the Road, Carrie, Of Mice and Men, Stranger in a Strange Land, Catch-22, A Brief History of Time and more.

If you've read any of these and can provide insight to the show, discuss in the comments.

Lost Reruns on NBC

After Saturday Night Live you may have noticed that NBC ran the pilot epsiode of Lost.

Why? Lost is an ABC show.

Joyce Saenz Harris at The Dallas Morning News TV blog reports "after checking around, it appears that NBC can do this because NBC-Universal owns the SciFi and G4 channels, which are airing LOST reruns starting tonight (Sept. 15). Apparently, having bought those rights, NBC is taking advantage of the opportunity to air LOST reruns late Saturday nights."
