The second alternate ending:

Did they make the right decison by putting Locke in the coffin?

Will we soon learn more about Lance Reddick's character?

Will we soon learn more about Lance Reddick's character on Lost? He visited Hurley in the assylum but was also an orderly at the hospital where Locke recouperated.

"My Lost mole reports that Lance Reddick (a.k.a. corporate recruiter Matthew Abaddon, as well as Fringe's Phillip Broyles) was just spotted in Hawaii shooting what I assume is episode 5.6," reports Michael Ausellio at Entertainment Weekly.

Also: "Meanwhile, the show is casting the likely recurring role of Hal, a white dude in his 70s who can still fight the establishment and win. Team Darlton is also on the prowl for an actor to play Mike, a thirtysomething scientist who's on the brink of something big. An authentic Czech accent is required."

Cast in Other Roles: Dominic Monaghan

Dominic Monaghan, aka Charlie, is returning to TV.

But on another show.

He's signed up to guest star on Chuck, says Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausellio: "In what marks his first major TV gig since Lost, Dominic Monaghan has signed on to guest-star on NBC's Chuck as -- stop me if this sounds familiar -- a free-spirited British rock star targeted for death by a shadowy group of evildoers."

Will he back back on Lost? Monaghan says: "That's more of a question for Damon Lindelof. I don't really have a huge amount of control over that. I had a great time on the show, and I think Charlie is a character that is definitely missed. I know a lot of people on the show -- myself included -- get asked a lot of questions about when he's coming back. The general public seems to think he's on his way back at some point. But that's something for Damon to answer. All I can really say is if it was the right thing, of course I'd go back."

SPOILER: Mrs. Hawking returns

Remember Mrs. Hawking, played by Fionnula Flanagan? She seemed to know things about the future. Desmond met her when he tried to buy an engagement ring for Penny. A picture of her also appears on Brother Campbell's desk. Apparently, she'll be back in season 5. AND, she has a connection to a major character, according to a video by Michael Ausellio at Enetertainment Weekly.

Check out the video.

He doesn't say who the other character is. Any guess as to who and what the connection might be?

POLL RESULTS: If you were a writer on Lost, which of the Oceanic Six would you kill off?

Some of you just aren't as mean spirited as I thought.

No one wanted to kill off Hurley, Jack or Sayid.

And 42 percent of you wouldn't kill anyone.

That leaves 14 percent who wanted Baby Aaron to bite the dust. Another 14 percent of you voted for Sun's death.

Kate got the most votes with 28 percent of the vote.

Use the comments section to explain your choice, even if you didn't cast a vote.

SPOILER CORRECTION

The information corrects two Losties Island postings. This one and this one.

Says Kristin:

"A very good source tells me that the information I received about off-Island Dharma stations is not quite right: There is one and only one off-Island Dharma stations—the show hasn't filmed any of those scenes yet—and that station may or may not be the key to returning to the Island. Argh! My sincere apologies. Reuniting the O6 with the Left Behinders is going to be harder than I thought."

Cast in Other Roles: Rebecca Mader

Rebecca Mader, who plays Charlotte, has been cast in George Clooney's movie Men Who Stare at Goats.

According to Hollywood Reporter: the film "is set in Iraq and centers on Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor), a desperate reporter who stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady (Clooney), who claims to be a former secret U.S. military psychic soldier who was reactivated after 9/11. Mader will play McGregor's wife. "

Michael Ausellio at Entertainment Weekly says that Mader's new role "doesn't means she's leaving Lost."

Doesn't mean she's staying either.

SPOILER: Where is one of the Dharma Stations?

UPDATE: Watch With Kristin issued a correction: "A very good source tells me that the information I received about off-Island Dharma stations is not quite right: There is one and only one off-Island Dharma stations—the show hasn't filmed any of those scenes yet—and that station may or may not be the key to returning to the Island. Argh! My sincere apologies. Reuniting the O6 with the Left Behinders is going to be harder than I thought."

Watch With Kristin at E! Online provides some scoop about where we might find one of the Dharma stations in the outside world. There are apparently six stations off the island that could be a key to getting back.

Amanda in St. Petersburg, Fla.:
Where is the powerful place we've already seen that might have a Dharma station in it?

In the words of the sage Hugo Reyes: "Australia is the key to the game." I'm told there's at least one off-Island Dharma station in Australia, and I personally love and believe your guesses were right: The station is specifically in or around Ayres Rock/Uluru, the place Rose and Bernard visited on their honeymoon.

POLL: Do you think Ben is lying about not being able to go back to the island?

Well, do you?
Our choices were:

1.Yes, of course. It is Ben we're talking about.
2.No. He changed the island, so he can't go back.
3.Who knows.
4. Even Ben doesn't know. The island does what the island wants.

The voters have spoken. Most of you -- 57 percent -- say that the island does what the island wants. While the rest of you think Ben is a big fat liar. OK, more of you probably think he's a liar. But the rest thought he was lying in this case.

What do you think Ben is up to? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Jorge Garcia on what's going on with Hurley

Watch with Kristin at E!Online talked with Jorge Garcia about what he thinks is going on with Hurley.

It's more about his impression that actual spoilers.

Who is Hurley hanging with these days?

"It's safe to say I'm working with people who are off the Island—I can even say I'm working with Michael Emerson, Ben. He does most of the talking—and he didn't thank me once for that candy bar."

What about Ben's mission to get the gang back to the Island?

"I think Hurley is leaning toward regret of having gone off the Island, but I don't think he's at the point where he wants to go back, just yet. But it does seem that the Island is pulling us back, some way or another."

What about Hurley and the glorious dead—are they still chatting?

Said Jorge, "Yep, and it seems like it doesn't even faze Hurley any more."

Last but not least, will the Oceanic Six ever become friends again?

"Don't know. Don't know at all."

What happened to Jin, tidbits on a Hurley scene

Michael Ausellio at Entertainment Weekly tells us a bit about Jin's fate and an upcoming Hurley scene.

Question: I don't know if I can wait until January or February for Lost. Got any scoop on it? --Nick

Ausiello: Sawyer, Juliet, Daniel, Miles, Charlotte, and ***** will learn Jin's fate at the precise moment we do: in episode 4. In other news, ask yourself this question: Why was Jorge Garcia shooting a scene in jail last week?

(For those you don't read Michael Ausellio regularly, each * stands for a letter.)

SPOILER: Learn Why the Oceanic Six Must Reunite

UPDATE: Watch with Kristin issued a correction: "A very good source tells me that the information I received about off-Island Dharma stations is not quite right: There is one and only one off-Island Dharma stations—the show hasn't filmed any of those scenes yet—and that station may or may not be the key to returning to the Island. Argh! My sincere apologies. Reuniting the O6 with the Left Behinders is going to be harder than I thought."

From Watch With Kristin at E! Online:

"In particular, I can now tell you why it is that the Oceanic Six must all reunite in order to get back to the Island.

Want to know why Kate (with baby Aaron), Jack, Sayid, Hurley and Sun are going to have to put their differences aside and go "all for one, and one for all" this year?

Well, remember what Michael Emerson recently said about Ben's statement that if any of them are to return to the Island, everyone who escaped has to go back too? He said, "I think [that dictate is] a scientific condition of the mechanism by which the Island operates. I don't think it's an esoteric or spiritual issue, I think it's science."

He wasn't just talking pretty. What I'm hearing is that the reason Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun and Hurley need to reunite is because the Oceanic Six need to fan out to a group of Dharma stations.
Even more intriguing? According to my source, these stations are not on the Island, but in other locations, and these off-Island stations are believed to be the ticket to getting back to the Island.
(Remember, the Island moved in the finale. The Island may have gone to another place...or it may have hopped into another time.)

So how does this all work? And where in the world are these stations? We'll have to tune into what is looking like an exciting fifth season in order to see."
Thoughts?

Lost: the book club

Want to make sense of all those passing references to the literary world?

ABC has composed a reading list for Lost fans.

The Lost creaters even wrote a note welcoming you to the Lost book club. They don't promise the books will provide insight but they do promise enrichment for reading them. Sounds like high school English. Although there are some interesting books on the list.

They recommend A Tale of Two Cities, On the Road, Carrie, Of Mice and Men, Stranger in a Strange Land, Catch-22, A Brief History of Time and more.

If you've read any of these and can provide insight to the show, discuss in the comments.

SPOILERS: season five scoopage

Doc Jensen at Entertainment Weekly provides what's happening when season 5 returns.

I won't post most of the details to save those who hate spoilers. You'll have to check out his column for that.

But here's a few tidbits.

1. Episode 5.01 will be called The Bridge. (See that's not too much info)
2. It's actually not. Doc Jensen made it up. (WTF?)
3. The real title is Because You Left, which Losties Island has already reported.

Really, Doc Jensen's column is kind of odd. But worth reading for the tidbits.

Shirtless Sawyer

Not a shocker, but apparently Josh Holloway will be shirtless for the first few episodes, so says TV Guide.

I can think of many a Sawyer fan who will rejoice. You know who you are.

SPOILER: More on that character who won't be in season 5 but returns for season 6

Stop reading if you don't like even the slightest of spoilers.

Michael Ausellio at Entertainment Weekly reports that he was suspicious whether Claire, played by Emilie de Ravin, would really be back for Season 6 after confirming that she'd be gone for the upcoming season.

He talked to executive producer Carlton Cuse and was told:

"Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost."

"It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way."

What do you think lies ahead for Claire? Losties Island already knows some of you think Claire is dead and others think she's alive.
