LaFleur: What did you think?

So, Sawyer and Juliet?

And, couldn't you just tell that Sawyer's heart beat a little faster when he saw Kate?

Three years is nothing but it's everything.

Thought, analysis, questions?

This episode marks the halfway point of the season.

Well the love "quadrangle" continues. Juliet and Sawyer, Sawyer and Kate, Kate and Jack and Jack and Juliet!

I'm really liking Sawyer these days. And not just as eye candy. His character has really grown in the three years he's been living in the 1970s.

Loved Miles' sarcastic remark about the only plans being going to the orchid or the beach.

And glad to see someone finally mentioning Richard the immortal's eyeliner. Really, what is that all about. Great interaction with him and Sawyer, though.

So, I can't help but wonder, what are they all back to do? Is it to stop the purge?

What? I missed an eyeliner crack? Damn.

So, what's the purge? Is that related to the bomb? At this point, I'm wondering what the Oceanic 6 have to rescue them _from_.

My big aha moment was when I saw them staring up at the sky and said to myself, "It's the statue." And, voila! It was. But that was it. Now I'm even more curious about the statue.

I really loved this episode. I love the fact that Sawyer and company are stuck in the 70s with the Dharma folks and that they've sort of moved on. What's really intriguing is the question of who's the baby? Is it Ben? And if it is Ben, what does that mean if the older Ben returns to the island. I've really tried to stay away from spoilers so maybe this has already been figured out. You thoughts?

The purge was when Ben killed off all the Dharma people.

Loved seeing the statue, too. Hope we get more than that before the show ends its run.

I found it very interesting that Amy (aka Michelle Dessler from 24) was able to have her baby. What is that about?

The eyeliner crack was from Sawyer before he went out to talk to Richard.

So, I guess it can't be Ben because if he was born in the 70s that would make him my age and clearly he's older than that. I swear I need a timeline to keep track of all this. Could it be Faraday? But that's not his mom. HELP!!!

Don't think the Goodspeed baby can be Ben -- we saw him being born in the US, to Emily and Roger Linus, in "The Man Behind the Curtain."

OK, the eyeliner crack was funny -- but come on, Nestor Carbonell DOES NOT wear eyeliner. Or mascara! He's just blessed with some unusually thick, dark, Latin-lover eyelashes.

I am kinda lovin' it that Sawyer and Juliet (or, as I'm now calling them, "Jules et Jim") got together in the 1970s! Are they a cute couple, or what? But with Kate back, that spells trouble in Paradise.

You've also gotta love that Sawyer, with a criminal record as long as his arm, now is the chief of security on Craphole Island. Talk about irony. And I cracked up when Sawyer explained his new pseudonym, LaFleur: "It's Creole. I improvised."

Charlie fits the age range for the baby, I think. ???

PS: I was kinda bummed when they said the next episode ("Namaste") would be TWO weeks from tonight. I hate having even a one-week hiatus breaking up the flow of the season!

Hmmm, someone goes back in time and gets stuck in the 70s. Sounds familiar. Oh yea, it's that cop show right after Lost.

Oh, that's right, Joyce. It gets harder and harder to keep track of details like that.

I agree with you on the Sawyer/Juliet pairing. I think they're good together.

At first, I thought that the wooden necklace was a strangely designed cross. Then, I realized it was probably an Egyptian ankh cross, which can stand for eternal life.

Also, notice that the Dharma boss is named Horace, a variation of the Egyptian god Horus. Horus apparently fought many battles with the god Set over who would control Egypt, kind of like the ongoing battles for control of the island.

Ok - here goes my first post...
Like Stella, I TRIED to stay away from spoilers but I no longer have the strength!!! :)

**DON"T READ IF YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO KNOW***

Other spoiler sites state that the baby is Ethan -- remember, the creepy guy who kidnapped Claire??? I can't figure out what the significance of that is though. I'm thinking he helps Ben with the purge???

Just my own theory -- supposedly someone goes "rogue" in the next couple of weeks. It's a Sayid-centric episode, so my thought is that Sayid might try to kill young Ben???

There was a scene a couple of seasons ago when Juliet first came to the island when the psychiatrist (can't remember her name - but the wife of the guy Juliet was sleeping with!) made a comment about Juliet looking "just like her". At the time I wondered if she meant Annie or Ben's mother or someone else... however, now I'm wondering if Juliet saves young Ben from Sayid's attack???

So maybe he's had a crush on her his entire life. It would certainly help explain his insane obsession with her!
